about a sentense in pragmatics

I read a subtitle “you look scottish”, what’s the mean ? Obviously, it does not mean you are scottish woman, maybe it means something else in pragmatics.

The sentense is from “Doctor who” series 6 “7. A good man goes to war”

Hi! I have never heard “you look Scottish” used as an idiom. It sounds like the speaker is telling someone that he/she looks like he/she comes from Scotland. Maybe the person has red hair & pale skin? I’m sorry I can’t be more helpful! If you can give me a bit more context for the quote I may have another idea.
